Could it be that I have a Jewish soul?

My grandfather's grandparents were both French Jews who came from Alsace in the late 1800s. Apparently, they "converted" to Catholicism, or maybe they raised their children Catholic for homogeny purposes. I'm 19 right now, but ever since I was 14, I've felt a deep connection to Judaism. I don't know if this is taught in Judaism, but is it possible that if the Jewish soul is lost by its owner, it is recaptured by someone in its lineage? Like, it's something that can never be defeated? Or am I just a delusional, dreamy adolescent girl with too much of an imagination?
