What are the chances that someone goes after a Stamkos or a Doughty during free agency?
They are both RFA's and are probably going to get 7+ mill per year. Lots of teams can afford to attempt at getting them too. Someone like winnipeg has a lot of money left over ( and will still have after they sign most of there players ), and can offer one of them 8/9 million for 8 years or so. All they would have to do is give up 4 1st round draft picks, a 2nd, and a 3rd, which isnt to bad considering maybe one of the players might be a good nhl player. I would take the player over the draft picks also because if those players turn out to be good, they'll be in serious cap situations with every one of them wanted a lot of money ( kind of like pittsburgh or chicago ).
